LOCATION AND EDUCATION: The Grain Buyer job opportunity is located in the Eastern Part of the Midwest. Education requirements are: BS OR BA Degree in Agriculture, Business, or Equivalent Experience. The Company prefers the Candidate to have 5 years prior work experience in grain merchandising. The Candidate needs to have a good understanding of supply chain procedures, solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task. The Candidate needs to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
A. Effective communication with suppliers and customers is crucial.
B. Ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
C. Understand grain types, quality standards, and agricultural practices.
D. Understand the Companies accounting system, forecasting & inventory management.
MARKET ANALYSIS – THE GRAIN BUYER WILL ANALYZE MARKET TRENDS, PRICE FLUCTUATIONS, AND SUPPLY/DEMAND DYNAMICS TO MAKE INFORMED PURCHASING & SELLING DECISIONS.
